Tarek Eljahmi receives the Peace and Justice Award from the City of Cambridge
I accepted on behalf of my youngest son Tarek, the Peace and Justice Award from the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts. A lot of people know Tarek for his discipline, love of his country and desire to make a difference. In addition to rigorous academic work at BB&N, Tarek played three Varsity sports and captained two teams. He is currently a Freshman at Davidson College and is recovering nicely from a knee procedure.
Tarek reacted to the award with the following statement:
“I am proud to be American and honored to receive the award. I wish to thank all who helped me achieve this honor; my friend and mentor Adam Neiman, the American Islamic Congress and my Uncles Tarek El-Heniedy and Dris Djermoun for helping me reach out to the Muslim community, the Sebenius family, my parents and the entire BB&N community.”
