The Luckiest Man Alive

What you’re about to read is real and not fiction.

You could ask yourself, who is the luckiest man alive? Is he the man who won the lottery last week and pocketed over 100 million US dollars? No. For sure he was lucky but not the luckiest man alive. Tens of people win the lottery every year and it is no big deal. Then is it one of those CEO’s that run one of those fortune 500 companies? No. Those individuals got there through education and hard work but never just by luck. Then it has to be those movie stars or sports stars. They’ve got it all, the fame, name, and money. No. Even those have talent, enough will, and are charismatic with lots of hard work to be right where they are.
The person I am talking about is someone that has no education; he is as far as anyone can be from being charismatic. He can’t even speak in a clear manner. He simply got lucky. Very lucky. Extremely lucky. One day in 1969, he and a few others decided to overthrow the king of Libya. So instead of them going to sleep on August 31st 1969, he took the decision to drive them to the Benghazi TV station to announce to all the people, in the wee morning hours of September 1st , that they have overthrown the king. But that lucky person didn’t take any part in that. He simply drove them there, and went back to his barracks and slept till the morning. He was afraid that if his colleagues were to fail, he would simply say, “I was sleeping”.
In that extremely lucky moment, for him of course, and not us, he became the ruler of a country that had all ingredients for a bright and prosperous future. In one crazy moment, he became the highest ruling authority on the land of Libya. But no, he is a young kid and no way would he be able to hold on to power. Others around him will just simply push him aside and that would be that. But, his viciousness and luck kept him in power. But no way for this kid to keep power. For sure he’d make a stupid mistake and he just won’t be forgiven for it.
Then came his mistakes one after the other. His first on the international scene was when he had a part in the killing of the U.S. Ambassador Cleo Noel, and his senior embassy officer George Curtis Moore by a Palestinian terrorist group in the Sudan. For sure he would be punished for this heinous act. Nothing happened. Then he started funding and arming the IRA, the Bask movement in Spain, and every terrorist organization known and unknown to man on this planet. For sure now, he would be held responsible for bombings in London and Spain that were carried out by those groups? But again, he is off the hook. Nothing happened.
It looks like he really got upset that no one pointed his finger at him after this impressive terror campaigns carried out by his blood money. So he decided to take it to the next level and achieve what no other terrorist has achieved before. The cowardly act of killing 271 innocent American and European civilians on Pan Am flight 103, which is still the deadliest terrorist act ever committed over European soil. Now definitely this act would bring the International police and armies to arrest this lunatic for a crime that was just way over the top. But still his luck is running strong as usual.
Less than a year later, this same person liked the idea that instead of making a plane land normally, it is better to just stuff it with explosives and bam, fireworks in the sky with flesh and blood of more innocent people who were simply in the wrong place, at the wrong time. They didn’t know that this criminal would still go unpunished for their murder. Waw, nothing happened again.
“Two planes and nothing happened to me”, “I am sure I can do a third and nothing will happen to me”, he said. Always, the third time is a charm. Plus it is always bad luck to do things in two’s, I guess. So, flight 1103 was created on a local Libyan airliner flying between Benghazi and Tripoli, just a few days before the 4th anniversary of Pan Am flight 103. It was named flight 1103 to resemble flight 103. That flight was kept in Benina airport of Benghazi for days, and was stuffed with a huge amount of explosives that when it was time to collect human remains, the largest pieces were less than 4 inches square in size. This flight was to fly early morning, from Benghazi to Tripoli, on Tuesday, December 22nd 1992; pass over the Gulf of Sidra near where American warships were exercising; it would explode; bam; blame the Americans for it. Then everything is forgiven. “They accuse Libya of bombing the Pan Am flight and now America bombed our plane. Let us just forget the whole thing”. “One for one, let’s just forget what happened”. He said that in his speech days after the tragedy. That was the reason for blowing up flight 1103. And once again, the lucky one kills 159 innocent Libyan and Arab passengers, and nothing happens. “How could this be? I commit these crimes and I am still free? I have to think of a mass murder that would top all of my past acts.” he wondered to himself. “I will call Abdallah Al Senussi and order him to go to Abu Sleem and shoot dead some prisoners”. And sure enough, on June 29th 1996, more than 1200 souls were slaughtered that day and no one came to their rescue. “I will do more; I will infect children with the HIV virus in Benghazi. I will support Charles Tailor of Liberia and Sanko of Sierra Leone with money and weapons and start a civil war”. Nothing will top that.” He said. And sure enough, civil war broke out in West Africa and Hundreds of Thousands of civilians were massacred. “Oh my God, all these things I do and still I am free to do more? Let me try and kill King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Let me support the war in Darfur. Let me kill more Libyans, more and more Libyans. I have been hanging and hunting them for almost 40 years and nothing has happened to me. I am free to do anything”. “I am the luckiest man alive”. “I am the luckiest man alive”.
And we are the most unfortunate people ever lived.

--- This person is still alive and kicking. He is still killing people. He has hundreds of political prisoners locked up. Europeans are dancing at his tent. America went after Saddam who didn’t even kill one American instead of this serial killer. He has no qualifications to be anything positive in life, let alone a ruler of a nation for all these years. His kids are made of the same substance. Like father like sons. But let’s hope, they are not as lucky. If we Libyans don’t stand up for this and take matters in our own hands, then we don’t deserve Libya. If we organize and approach the international community in a sincere manner away from selfish individual gains, we could turn them against this luckiest man alive and turn him into the most unlucky person ever lived. Let’s start by raising money so we could have more power, to move.
