Qaddafi's Son

As Swiss citizen and Libyan descent I take umbrage in the variance with Libyan authoritarian regime concerning a Libyan hoodlum's scuffle with the Swiss authority. As the old and very astute axiom (when you are in Rome do as the Romans do).

Qaddafi's son is no stranger to mayhem and this happens to be his malady nor is he immune to the laws of a sovereign country like France or Switzerland for that matter. Switzerland is a democratic and autonomous nation; it has been built by a law abiding people, and if I may say so, it has been civilized, enlightened and refined for more or less than eight hundred years. Now comes this brute amalgamation of brutality and malevolence called Qaddafi who supposedly thinks that he is above the law and deems to impose his own malicious campaign on the people of Switzerland devoid of any consideration of his guest status in European nation that is non-Arabic or tyrant nation. I think the judge in canton Geneva was unquestionably correct to follow the laws of the canton (State of Geneva) and the Swiss federal laws as well, and he is unconditional in instating whatever penalties the laws provided him with assuming Qaddafi misfit is human and he is truly entitled to his day in court of law, judged not above nor beneath the law, but accordingly to the laws that apply to even everyone within the nation of Switzerland.

Qaddafi broke the law and therefore he must face his accusers to defend himself with whatever evidences he has to bolster his case in the court of law if he so seems to feel he is innocent, otherwise he ought to admit in front of the judge and submit to the laws of land and maybe beg for mercy of the court not to unleash the hoodlums in Libya and his father's cronies to arrest innocent Swiss citizens and cause mayhems.

It never ceases to amaze me how this tyrant manages to offset the national media and tries endlessly to blame the west and Libyans in exiles for the ills of his corrupt regime and the home grown lunatics who are willing to die for causeless wars. Today we the civilized Libyans living in the Diaspora of all persuasions must vie to equalize the playing field and beat the drums of intelligence and never let such lunatic get away with murder anymore. Let us band together and write to every respectable paper or rug the likes of the NYTimes (slimy as they may) and every national and international media about the plight of the Libyans people who are living under such despotism in Libya.

I don't care what your ethnic, gender is; religious, political or tribal affiliation might be, except you want to see Libya liberated and its people choose their own destiny like the rest of the world and this outrageous monster is gone. I know there are lots of sound and good people here in the Diaspora who can help in small or big way, to lend voice, to support those who are carrying the torch and fighting in order to free this beloved country of ours called Libya. Libya is being besmirched and totally defiled by those who sole intention is to rule it and pilfer its natural resources at any cost. In short this regime is totally gone mad and we ought to seek and solicit the help of every civilized nation in our endeavor to remove this cancer for good.

Raymond
