Remember The Reasons For Your Exile!
The Libyan regime has recently been granted permission to open an embassy in Washington, D.C. With such impending presence in the nation’s capital, the embassy staff is readying themselves for tours to Libyan communities around the United States with promises of financial help and the like. Undoubtedly, some members in those Libyan communities will step forward to accept whatever is offered, forgetting the reason for their presence in the United States: Rejection of Gadhafi and all its manifestations.
Embassy staff has already contacted some Libyan Communities, asking them to extend invitations to the regime’s representatives to visit those communities. Those Libyan Communities should be mindful of the reasons that led to their voluntary exile from Libya: Gadhafi and his brutal rule. Conditions in Libya have worsened since we last set foot on its soil.
Those staffers should be denied any invitation to visit, but should they end up at our doorsteps, one should direct them to Libya where their money and help are most needed. Our years of enduring life in exile have only stiffened our resolve to live in freedom and to reject Gadhafi and his stolen money, looted from the Libyan treasury.
