Response To The Letter About Hakeem

Hakeem uses logic for his discussions. He never uses profanity and is always polite to his readers. He provides a different point of view and he often makes sense.

If any one does not agree with his views, they are alllowed to tell him in a logical way without taking the easyway out and get mean and ignorant to the point of calling him bad names. A good majority of muslims gets very offended and angry when someone says any thing that does not agree with what they believe to be right. Are they afraid the other point of view may sound reasonable and put confusion in their belief? That is possible! If you are discussing how to solve a problem and you come up with an answer. I am sure you would not mind if someone else offers a different solution. You certainly should not get mad because they also can think.

Hakeem sounds highly educated and seasoned in Islamic history and culture. He provides excellent points of view. Last time I checked, most Arabs want freedom of exepression. Is it possible that the reason some Arabs do not have it - is their inability to handle it? I would say that is possible. Most Arabs are muslims because they were born to muslim parents. I am muslim because I was born that way. No. I do not want to switch. I am happy with what my parents gave me. I do not mind Hakeem's write ups here.

Muslim Arabs, please be tolerant of others. Use common sense. Allow logic to play part of your daily lives. It does not necessairly mean you would renounce your fate. It is very possible that it may make you not only a better person but also a better muslim.

Born in Aljamahiria and loving it.
