Dear brother Shergawi,
Sorry I am not able to type in Arabic but if you do not understand this I hope someone will translate it for you. Did you forget that many Shergawis are actually Misruatis! Al Agha (who is these poor children lawyer) is a well know family name from a small Karagula village called Yidder from misurata. Another lawyer Al Bizanti (another Kurguli!) is also most likely to be a Gerbawi. Your threats are baseless and have no grounds. The Bedouin clans of Sirt are neither East nor West if anyone caused this tragedy it is their regime with their characteristic corrupt mismanagement, greed and general economic and social mess they put the whole of Libya under. The tyranny of the Geddafi regime has undoubtedly caused this and
many other tragedies. The infected blood was probably either imported cheaply by a corrupt greedy Geddafist or was caused by the lack of health infrastructure and poor investment in health care by the failing regime.
We all feel deeply sorry for the children and families and cried many tears of blood from our hearts. I can not say if the five Bulgarian nurses and one Palestinian medic are guilty or not, but claims of an HIV experiment does not make any sense. In what capacity is this lowly junior doctor and simple nurses are acting and on whose behalf? Which research institute is funding them or supporting them to find a cure for Aids? As a practicing research scientist and medical doctor I can not see how any of this adds up- you need major mega million dollar research programs for such a task. We should look for the fault within us not seeks to find and implicate non-Libyans guilty automatically. No doubt the mis- “government” of the decadent corrupt regime is in a terrible dilemma. On the other hand this might be the last straw that breaks the Bedouin's camel back even though the price unfortunately is very high!
So please don’t blame us Gerbawis for not feeling for our children in the East.
Your brother ( Dr. ) Munther
