To Dr. Juma al-Gheriani

Dear Dr. Juma

You are not the only one who experienced this kind of situation with Libyan airlines. Last May I had to go to Libya through Egypt, when I got to Cairo I was told I am only allowed to cary only one suit case and I had to pay for the extra weight.
I went to the Libyan Airlines office at 37 Gaser el-Neel Street to see the Libyan manager. I waited 5 hours and he did not show up that day. It was Thursday, then I was told by the Egyptian employees to meet him Friday at the airport because he has to show up that day before the departure of the airplane.
One of the employees gave me a recommendation letter to another Egyptian at the airport who works there, I went Friday and waited for that Libyan manger and he never showed up. By God's mercy I was avoided to pay any thing because that Egyptian guy understood as we travel over seas across the occans we are allowed to cary 2 pieces with 30 kilos each.Libyan Airlines allowes only one piece........
The issue is where are our Libyan mangers and employees. Are they partying, shopping, sleeping or what are they doing. If they are not doing their jobs why do we have to hire them in the first place and end up having the other people from other countries do the job as along as they are the ones who are doing it...
They are working with the Libyan mentality, show up once a week, for few hours, and the job will be done somehow by somebody or not to be done at all, it dosent matter......... They dont care if they are in Egypt, England, France or on the moon, it is a position filled by somebody that is related to somebody in the government, witout meeting the requirements of the job.....
Allah ykoun fi aoun Libya and the Libyans.

Um Haitham
