Rafaeel Lozoun's Letter

Dear Rafaeel

I'm very disappointed with the letter from Abuahmad, in which I feel he was out of touch with the real world and behaving in a manner that the Arabs were 50 years ago when ignorance was the dominant culture. I was, however, encouraged by Dr Mohammed's Letter, so I feel that the Libyan culture is changing towards the better.

It's time now to be open minded, respect humanity, call for democracy, all Libyans ( & people) to have equal rights regardless of their background, race, religion and colour.

We now in this day of age should call for freedom for all the Libyans, working towards a constitution decided by the educated and professional Libyans and endorsed by the whole of Libya. We should stay away from the narrow minded thinking and need to learn from the grave mistakes done by all in the past. We are all partly to blame.

It's now time to forget, forgive and reconcile if we really want to have a real chance in building our Libya. If we stay stuck in the past then I can tell you that in another 50 years, you will (or your children) be still talking and writing about the same thing on a similar website. It may be then too late to do any thing as the world changes and we lag behind.

My best wishes.
