Just An Incident|
In one of the American embassies in the Gulf region, this incident happened. I am only telling this for people to know what is happening to Muslims by so called the people of the democratic world.
An American citizen, original American that is, just happen to be Muslim, went to his embassy with his Muslim wife who was also "original American" but has a Khumar on her face. They met with the Consul who insisted that the wife shows her face to him. Naturally the husband refused, but the Consul insisted and threatened to call the marines and arrest the husband if they don't do as he says. The husband said his wife would reveal her face to a woman, the Consul insisted that she reveals in front of him as well. The husband said he no longer wants what he came for and he would like to leave. The Consul refused, and again threatened to call the marines to arrest the husband if they don't do as he says. The wife worried about her husband revealed her face briefly, the Consul then said he didn't see and she should show him again.
Needless to say she did.
I am only telling this story to show those who think that America is interested in our democracy are totally wrong.
To those who think that Guddafi can change, I would like to say that I have visited Libya a number of times in recent years, and have been following Guddafi's speeches, which is something I avoided for many years, I became more and more convinced that this man wants to destroy the Libyan being and not just the country.
The only way is to remove this cancer ourselves.
I would like to ask the question however, is Saif better than his father?
Although I am totally against the principle of Gudaffi handing over power to his son, and that we should remove the whole lot of them, and the idea of handing over power to him makes me sick to the stomach, I would like to think that he may be the stepping stone to better things.
He may relieve some of the suffering of the Libyan people for the short term at least. What do other people think about this? I am willing to change my mind about this.
This is just a thought.
