In Responce To Dr. Bugaighis' Letter|
In response to the letter by Dr. Mohammed M. Bugaighis - 18 August, 2003; I think we need to be slightly more realistic. No one can deny that the Libyan government has been behind many attrocities and the giving of $2.7 billion is nothing short of disgraceful but do you seriously think phoning up members of the UN Security
Council will solve anything?
Let us look at some of the members in the UN Security Council that you want us to appeal to:
The Libyan issue is not a problem that will be solved by foreign powers (especially ones like the ones mentioned above). The only ones who can solve it are the Libyan people with the help of Allah.
- Syria (they kill and jail their own people as if they care about Libayn human rights)
- China (you want China to fight a human rights battle????)
- United States (I don't think I need to say much)
- Russia(one word "Chechnya")
I don't mean to offend you brother Dr. Mohammed M. Bugaighis, I just don't think there is benefit in your proposals.
