Re: Old Habits Die Hard|
Dear Dr. Ighneiwa,
Thank you for publishing the article I sent you, but there is something that
I do not understand and would like to have some explanation for.
I chose the nick name "Libyan XX" to sign that article. I noticed that you
chose to omit the "XX," and I cannot see any reason for doing that. In case
you do not know, Dr. Ighneiwa, in human genetics the symbol "XX" denotes a
female as opposed to "XY" which is the genetic label for men.
I hope you will take the time to explain why you found genetics terminology
unfit for publication on your page.
Let me also take the opportunity to point out that my letter was also sent to
Almanara.org and to Mr. Guma Elgumati. While you kindly published it, albeit
in altered form, none of the others published or reacted to it. All of these
people constantly parade their supposed openness to different points of view,
they make claims about being moderate, comprehensive, and standing for equal
opportunity. But the fact is, again, old habits die hard!
Again, thank you very much for what you have done. I just wish that the
others had enough courage to explain their actions.
